A 2 hour durational action in a hotel room featuring cleaning, folding, and bed making. I will video tape these same actions multiple times before the performance, and layer them in low opacity as a video looping in the hotel room. This video will light the performance and echo the endless repetition of these actions.

Doing the action, I thought a lot about the moments in service jobs where you can escape into a meditative act of repetition: folding towels, folding napkins, rolling silverware, polishing silverware, polishing glasses…
